Postdoctoral Researcher
in Theory of Energy and Charge Transfer in Natural and Artificial Photosynthesis
Postdoctoral researcher position at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University is available with a start from January 1st, 2022 or later (initially for one year, with a possibility of extension). Candidates with strong background in fields of open quantum systems, theory of energy and charge transfer phenomena in molecular and solid state systems and/or theory of time resolved spectroscopy are invited to apply. Selected candidate would participate in a research project on hot topics in natural and artificial light-harvesting.
The position is funded by Czech Science Foundation (GACR) as part of the project: Intramolecular vibrational modes as structural probes and dynamic modulators of biological and bio-inspired nano-structuresand and the Center for Nano- and Bio-Photonics (CeNaBiP) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University.

Requirements
- Experience with open quantum systems theory methods
- PhD in chemistry, physics or related fields
- Willingness to participate in multi-disciplinary research
- General interest in open quantum systems and quantum mechanics as such
- Interest in answering biologically relevant questions with physics and chemisty

PhD. Student in Theoretical (Bio)Physics and Chemical Physics
Candidates with master or equivalent degree in Physics or Chemistry are welcome to join a four year PhD program in Physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University. Research projects in open quantum systems, theoretical time-resolved spectroscopy, molecular quantum physics and other related research branches are constantly available (see our research topics).
